MWMS Series 500 Gates offer high performance and long life in designs which accommodate a wide range of mounting arrangements and flow conditions. Rugged, reinforced 6061T6 aluminum or 316L Stainless steel construction is combined with ultra tough, nylon slide guides and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW) slide seals and P-Seal to provide a heavy-duty assembly. and flush bottom closure is provided by a resilient bottom seal. In addition to the wide range of standard gates, MWMS can quickly and economically produce standard gates or gates customized for unusual applications usually within 30 days. All MWMS Series 500 Gates come with a limited lifetime warranty. MWMS Aluminum Gates or Stainless steel Gates can be constructed of either 1/4” thick or 3/8” thick material. MWMS Series 500 Sluice & Weir Insertion Gates
MWMS Series 500 Insertion Gates eliminates the high cost of a complete Gate replacement. MWMS Insertion Gates are designed to fit right into your existing Gate Frame.
During the preparation process pumps are shut down. The MWMS Channel Dam is installed and pumps restarted. The existing gates operator, stem, slide, seals, and the seat are removed. In many cases, due to prolonged exposure to gases, some of these components must be cut away. The frame is then carefully prepped, with special attention given to the inside verticals and ensuring the existing frame is properly squared.
The MWMS Series 500 Insertion Gate frame
is installed within the existing gate frame. It is carefully squared and securely bolted into place to ensure a tight, reliable seal between the existing frame structure and the insertion gate. A 1/8” rubber gasket is applied along the vertical sides of the existing gate frame to enhance the seal and prevent leakage. Once the insertion gate is inserted, aligned and firmly fastened, the upstream side of the gate is effectively sealed
